The Yonis have always been the Baatonu to move to new land. Yonis don't like their villages to get too big. When they do, they move to a new place. The Tawolé and Taaro also like peace. The Ouasangari always come and take what the Yoni have made good. In old times, Ouasangari kings from Nikki would sell Yoni children to the Fon.

[Yoni, Tawolé, Taaro and Ouasangari are all clans of the Baatonu (other people call the Baatonu "Bariba"). Baru-tèm, the land of the Baatonu, is divided into nine main kingdoms: Nikki, Parakou, N'dali, Bembérèké, Kandi, Ouassa, Kouandé, Kérou, and Banikoara. All the kings are Ouasangari and are related to the king of Nikki. The king of Nikki is king over all other kings. Arbonga is a village in the kingdom of Banikoara. This is the furthest away from Nikki and the last to be populated by the Baatonu. The land was mostly empty* when the first Yoni arived. The Fon are a different people and live along the coast, about 400 miles to the south. The Fon controlled the slave trade in Benin. Most slaves from Benin wound up in Brazil or the Caribbean, although some were sent to the United States.]
